The Ag Tyre and Wheel Specialists

Wheels

Armstrong Tyres is a wheel conversion specialist. Our experience ensures that your customer gets the right equipment for the job.

We began converting steel wheeled tractors to pneumatic tyres in the 1940s and 50s, and have been converting standard tyres to a variety of specialised tyre and wheel equipment ever since.

Manufacturing

Armstrong Tyres is an import manufacturer of all types of agricultural wheels using the best components from local and international suppliers. Our in-house assembly capacity and extensive stock range enable faster turnaround times and easy supply of special orders. Whatever your needs, the team at Armstrong Tyres will happily assist.

Knowledge and understanding

Armstrong Tyres leads the way with extensive experience in logging tyres, industrial tyres, extra wide flotation, row crop and radial tyres. In short, we convert standard tractors into highly specialised and capable machinery.

We understand the needs of dealers. We know time is critical in getting the job done quickly and correctly. And we only use quality products because they last longer, do the job better and are least expensive over the life of the machine.

The best wheels

Far stronger than a flat plate centre, a pressed dish centre is more appropriate for the high stress loads of row crop, hillside and loader or forklift work.

All wheels are first sandblasted then etch primed before being powder coated using high-quality "Interpon" powder products. This ensures a durable finish, made to withstand the harshest farming operations.

Galvanising

Wheels can be fully galvanised for ultimate protection in harsh environments. Powder coating of galvanised wheels is available in a range of colours to maintain the original equipment look or to match your own paint schemes. This option is ideal for manure spreaders and machinery operating in coastal areas.

Adjustable

Thanks to unique assembly configurations, the overall tracking can be varied from the initial setup by between 20 mm and 500 mm. This allows for greater variations in tracking to meet a wider range of requirements and applications, making the wheels readily resalable.

Quick dispatch

Because we hold extensive stock of wheel centres - mostly pre-pressed awaiting only a stud pattern and tracking measurement - standard combinations can be assembled for dispatch within five days.

Cost effective

Replacement or adaption wheel centres can be supplied at a third of the cost of a new wheel. Due to the generic design of the pressed dish wheel centre, wheel combinations can be adapted to fit a variety of machines with minimal expense. Tyre and wheel combinations can be changed from one machine to another.

Dual kit options

With the multiple bolt points around the outer and inner wheel centre, a standard snaplock dual kit attaches securely and easily. The design also allows for strong and practical attachment points for cotton reel type dual kits, where exceptional ground clearance is required.

We handle everything

Armstrong Tyres takes responsibility for coordinating everything including tyres, wheels, freight, axle specifications and fitting.
